Sendo verbos que describen estados e non situacións NON se empregan en presente continuo ou futuro continuo (dicimos I have a car, NON I'm having a car), a diferencia dos DYNAMIC VERBS.
Son verbos relacionados
1 Cos sentidos (hear, see, sound, taste, smell, imagine, recognise, satisfy, look) The soup smells good. That cake looks delicious. They taste great!
2 Os sentimentos (like, love). I like that picture. I don't really like carrot cake but I love scones.
3 A posesión (have got, own. possess, belong, lack, include, involve)
4 As opinións (believe, think). I believe in you.
5 Os gustos, preferencias ou emocións (like, dislike, prefer, love, hate). I love westerns.
6 O desexo ou a necesidade (want, wish, need, deserve). I want an ice cream. Does anyone want to share a piece with me?
7 A descrición de peso, medida, contido ou características (weigh, mesure, contain, consist). The parcel lweighs 3 kg and contains 6 video games.
Algúns destes verbos empréganse tamén en present continuous cando indican acción. I'm thinking on you. I think you're a great person (opinión).
